At last a Christmas story that's not all over-sexed, instant life long soul mates that meet, fall in love, and live happily ever after in two weeks or less. This story has a lot of twists and turns and surprises right up to the end. Yes, it still has a fairytale ending, but it is a clean story without horrible language, no nudity, and no sex crazed hormones. I loved how Donna VanLiere weaves several small town families together to create a kind and loving community together. After spending most of my life in the small town environment, the twists and turns with everyone helping each other and connected through family members and activities, her story seemed almost real and kept my interest. Very well written and a fun feel good book. I recommend this book for those who want a good clean Christmas story.Product details

This was a delightful book. Excellent read for Christmas. Not too long. Just right. However, I do not consider it an exciting book. It was predictable as are most of Donna VanLiere's book. I would recommend this book to those young
Christian woman who choose not to read books containing curse words. As a
church librarian in our large church, I find that there are many women and a few men who will only read book by "Christian" author. Some of our members will
not read books containing situations not considered "Christian" such as
unmarried couple cohabiting. This Christmas Secret was popular with such folks.
I loved this book about a single mom's struggles, disappointments and challenges. The author beautifully developed the characters and wove their stories together. I will definitely read more from this author.
I love her books. They are about people just like us, having good days and bad, wondering how to make ends meet, how to meet life's challenges, big and small, whether we'll ever met the one we were meant to be with. It doesn't matter where we are in life's journey, there is something in each of her books that resonates. One of my favorite of her books is Angels of Morgan Hill. I listen to the audio books once or twice a year. It's inspiring, and a great yarn!
This was the first time I read any book from this author, I loved it, to see how a struggling mom makes it through all the problems and heartache she encounters,and all the other people willing to help her after she opens up to them, just goes to show that somewhere out there, there are people who are willing to lend a helping hand.
This is a good book to read during Christmas...you may deduce the ending but it is nice to lose yourself in the story and hope that if those circumstances were true,and I am sure they are, someone will lend a helping hand, for you never know when you may need a hand and hope and pray someone will be there to extend their hand to you.
One of my favorite things during the holidays is to read a touching and inspiring Christmas book. This was my first book by VanLiere. I will eagerly await a new Christmas release from this author next year and will go back and read the ones I have missed. The book is centered around the stressful life of Christine, a divorced mother of two. She is struggling to pay bills while enduring the harassment of a bitter, worthless ex-husband. She saves the life of stranger one day which creates a series of events that sets her life on a new path. A heart-warming story about surviving life's struggles and finding happily ever after.
OH MY GOSH!!!! This book, is hands down amazing!!!!

I love Donna's books. She writes complex characters that you grow to love and find yourself rooting for. All of her books, in my opinion have hope and redemption. She also is a wonderful reader; she is the voice on the audio books. Her inflection, dialects and age/gender appropriate voices are well developed.
The story, as all of her stories, is special and has several surprises. Some parts of the book are predictable, though you have no idea how it will happen.
